Waiting on the Lord.

Wait on the LORD: Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”

Psalm‬ 27:14‬ ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Sometimes in life, there will be times when things do not make sense, and you wonder if you are doing the right thing by choosing to trust God and walk in faith. I went through a period when everything I had known was drastically changed, and the only thing left was me, the Lord, and my family. At that point in my life, I was not happy. It forced me to look at myself and realize that I was focusing my life decisions on people and things, when I should have been focusing on my life in Christ. I can say that the tough times were definitely needed. Looking back, I see now that those tough times were a necessary part of my journey. They were the refining fire through which God shaped and molded me into who I am today. Left to my own devices, I might never have turned fully towards Him. It took the stripping away of the familiar to reveal the peace that comes from surrendering to His will. God used those times to shape and mold me, and I never would have turned my focus toward Him on my own.
If you find yourself in a similar place, wrestling with doubt and struggling to discern God's hand amidst the chaos, take heart. Remember that God's sovereignty remains, regardless of our circumstances. He is eternally good, endlessly loving, and abundantly merciful. Even when we cannot see it, He is at work behind the scenes, putting together our stories according to His divine plan. Hold on to hope with unwavering faith. Trust that God has not abandoned you; He sees you, He loves you, and He is working all things for your good. In the waiting and in the questioning, find solace in knowing that His timing is perfect. Lean into His promises, and allow His peace to anchor your soul through the storms of life.
So, if today finds you weary and uncertain, let these words be a gentle reminder: God is always with you and will never leave or forsake you.
Just be patient and know that things happen in His timing, not ours. He has not forsaken or forgotten you; hold on.

Todays Prayer
Lord, I will continue to trust You, even when it seems as if the world is crumbling around me. I will trust you even when it seems as if everything is against me. When my heart is heavy and weary, I know you will continue to walk with me on this journey. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
