Embracing the Season: Finding Strength in Struggle

In our journey of faith, there are times when the road seems impossibly steep, and the weight of our struggles feels almost unbearable. We find ourselves on our knees, feeling as though we are battling against a relentless tide of challenges. This is where the verses from Galatians 6:9 and Isaiah 40:31 come into play, offering us hope and resilience in our darkest moments.

[Galatians 6:9 KJV] 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

[Isaiah 40:31 KJV] 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.

If we are not careful, we can allow what is going around us to cause us to become weary (utterly spiritless, exhausted). I have been there, doing everything the Lord has told me to do in this season, being obedient. It just feels as if everything is going against you, just when you think you have conquered one obstacle, here comes another and you just want to give up. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that we are not alone and the Lord cares about what we are going through. This season of struggle does not feel good, and the only thing that stops the tears from falling is trusting that there is a purpose in this season and believing that the Lord is not punishing us. Sometimes if we are not careful, we can allow our connection to the Father to become unsteady.

What I love about these verses is that they are brutally honest in that we will have to walk through times when life is simply hard; that is when we must meditate on God’s word.

[Heb 10:23 KJV] 23 Let us hold fast the profession of [our] faith without wavering; (for he [is] faithful that promised;)

[Heb 11:1 KJV] 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

The Lord is ever-present in our lives, and he has not forsaken us, so when things get hard don’t allow that to separate you from God but allow this to draw you closer. This is when you are to spend more time in his presence because this is when you are more vulnerable, and the enemy will try to sneak in and take advantage of you in your state of mind. Remember all the enemy did to Eve was cause her to question the word of God and you see where that got us. So, lift your head, dry those tears, and run to the One who will never leave promises unfulfilled. Things will get better, and this will be your testimony to lift others when they are in seasons of trials. And never forget this is just a season it will pass. How do I know this? The Bible says in “Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV 1 To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven”.

Prayer

Lord, I am struggling, and I need help that can only come from you. Help me in my time of unbelief and when it is hard to understand what is going on in my life right now. Lord, I am giving it all to you and laying my problems and myself at your feet. You are my Lord and King, my Comforter, the source of my joy and peace, I will continue to praise and worship you because of who you are and not what you can do. To you all the honor and glory Amen.

Remember, each season of struggle is temporary and serves a purpose in God's grand design. Let these moments of difficulty draw you closer to Him, fortify your faith, and become a testament to His enduring love and faithfulness.
