Blessed are the Peacekeepers

Matthew 5:7-9 KJV

[7] Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. [8] Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. [9] Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

We encounter people throughout the day without knowing the situations they are going through in those moments. For some, this season may bring joy, while for others, it is a constant reminder of their losses—loved ones, jobs, possessions, or other inexplicable hardships.

We should show kindness to everyone we encounter, especially those we would generally try to avoid. Keep in mind that we never know what someone is going through. Let's show the love of Jesus to everyone. A smile or a kind word may brighten someone's day.

Today's Prayer

Lord, I am seeking every day to be more and more like you; open my eyes and heart to see and feel others as you would. Please guide me to those who need a little more of you and allow your words to flow through me to them. This is my prayer, amen.
